Biography
Who is Dr. Bunteng Long?
Dr. Long Bunteng is an academic leader, educator, and researcher serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Hotel-Tourism at Western University, Cambodia. He earned his Ph.D. in Innovative Business and Technology Management and an MBA in General Management from Assumption University (ABAC) in Thailand, following a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Banking from the National University of Management in Cambodia.
His career in higher education encompasses academic governance, curriculum design, research supervision, and journal editing. Dr. Long has contributed to institutional capacity-building through internationally supported development initiatives, coordinating programs under the World Bank’s Higher Education Improvement Project (HEIP) and the European Union’s CHAin and GAIN projects. Internationally, he has engaged in cross-border scholarly exchange as an appointed Visiting Scholar and Research Fellow at INTI International University in Malaysia.
Dr. Long’s empirical research examines technology adoption, digital education, consumer behavior, and organizational performance. Utilizing advanced structural modeling and multivariate statistical methods—including SPSS, AMOS, Mplus, and LISREL—his investigations address critical areas such as ICT integration in higher education, mobile banking, cryptocurrency acceptance models, digital trust, and graduate employability pathways. His scholarship appears across peer-reviewed international and regional journals.
In recognition of his research output in digital education, Dr. Long received the Outstanding Ph.D. Award from the ACLEDA Institute of Business in 2023, along with the Professor Award conferred by Western University. His administrative and academic work focuses on aligning business curricula with technological advancements and regional industry requirements.
