Dr. Long Bunteng’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Banking from the National University of Management in Cambodia. He subsequently advanced his postgraduate education at Assumption University (ABAC) in Thailand, earning a Master of Business Administration in General Management before completing his Doctor of Philosophy in Innovative Business and Technology Management. This progressive academic foundation helped cultivate Dr. Long's expertise at the intersection of business strategy, management science, digital technology, and empirical research. Today, as Dean of the Faculty of Management and Hotel-Tourism at Western University, he integrates this interdisciplinary background in finance, management, technology, and higher education governance to advance institutional leadership, academic development, and curriculum innovation in Cambodia.

The program also introduced me to important areas of finance and banking, including financial analysis, investment, banking management, financial markets, and risk management. This academic foundation has contributed to my broader understanding of business and management and has provided me with practical knowledge that can be applied to financial decision-making, organizational management, and the development of businesses and financial institutions. Overall, my background in Finance and Banking has strengthened my understanding of Financial Management, Banking, Investment, Risk Management, and Business Decision-Making.

Overall, the MBA in General Management has given me a strong foundation in Business, Management, Leadership, Strategy, and Organizational Development, which I can apply to both professional management and academic environments.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Innovative Technology Management (Ph.D. ITM) at Assumption University of Thailand is an interdisciplinary doctoral program that integrates business management, information technology, innovation, and research. The program has provided me with advanced knowledge of how emerging technologies and information systems can be managed and applied to address contemporary organizational and business challenges. It focuses not only on technology itself, but also on how organizations adopt, manage, and integrate technology to improve business processes, decision-making, innovation, and organizational performance. A major component of the program is advanced research. Through doctoral-level research, I have developed a deeper understanding of research methodology, technology management, innovation, and organizational issues in the context of a rapidly changing digital environment. Overall, I see the Ph.D. in Innovative Technology Management as a combination of Business, Technology, Innovation, and Research, preparing me to examine how technological developments can be effectively managed and transformed into organizational and business value.
